  6. Miss QUIVERing Chin….we must print our joke book and enlighten the world…
She is the sweetest person that I have come across…
Full of energy and can actually break records for chatting continuously as she always has something to tell and thats one thing I love about her…One can never get bored when ever she is around…

I think we started bonding mainly because of the jokes that we cracked , possibly us being the only two people who genuinely laughed at each others jokes where every one else failed to understand our point of view…

Our obsession with camera phones and clicking the weirdest photos of people, teaming up and scheming to get the funniest pics clicked…also fighting/clawing each other every time we clicked a not so good pic of the other one..

There have been days where we have made fun of her typical quivering chin…when ever she laughed the laughter was preceded by the quiver of her chin…now she makes a conscious effort to stop the quivering…!!Avneet imitates her really well 

Hanging out in Akankshas place has always been fun watching stupid videos of our madness or watching lame movies like pyaar impossible (horrible print)…

Our latest fascination for HIPPO Italian pizza and Thai chilli, we lay our hands on it where ever its available ….We both are possibly the most hungry people alive you’ll know if you’ve seen us gorge…specially aalloo, chicken and paneer.

She plans all our plans but sadly some of them fail, like recently we were all in tears cause all our attempts to go for the trip to amritsar failed…she solves conflicts between people…extremely helpful and caring…She is a Sweetheart!! 

Oh! I must mention her convincing powers!! Amazingly she can convince anybody and so smoothly that you would actually forget about what was it that was making you contradict her in the first place!

I am sure akanksha your fear of driving or reversing cars will eventually end just need a little more practice...heh heh…

I am sure you will float in a pool of money some day!! As you desire and then you will gift me the CRV…

But of course our phone conversations…they are so random and soooooooo bitchy there is not one celebrity alive who we’ve not applauded or degraded…we till date discuss the tiniest details of so many people ahem ahem!! I won’t mention the names…lol

I wish you all the success and happiness in life…you deserve all the good things in life as you are such a good person at heart…and also random , funny…Will miss u the most and U better keep in touch else I will drop a bomb on your head…

Khush rehna hamesha mera aashirwaad sada tumhare sath hai!!
    Jai Hind 

  8. This one's a true friend, in every possible sense of the word! She's always there to cheer you up when you're feeling low, and will volunteer to help even when you're too stuck up to ask for it! :)
She's got possibly the widest smile I've ever seen, and you'll rarely catch her without it.. :) She's also really pretty with long long eyelashes that give her a certain Kashmiri 'nazakat'..
We've been friends for almost four years now and her stock of PJs is not even close to being exhausted. In fact, I think she makes up two new ones every five seconds or so!!(Am prepared to bet she's thought of at least six reading this comment thus far!)
We've had the most fun together in final year, eating out nearly every other day, inevitably leading to Akanksha's guilt pangs and her vows to diet and exercise till the end of time.. And hats off to her persistence, those plans are rigorously followed.. up to almost two whole days!! :)
She loves to talk and loves to laugh, and therefore is the source of constant chatter and uninhibited laughter that everybody around her must eventually succumb to.. or else! :)

Needless to say, I will always cherish the times we've had together.. And we'll be friends forever! :)

Akanksha, always be yourself, and stop trying to please everybody, it cannot be done!!
    Have a happy life! :)

P.S. Akanksha is very intelligent. She has not asked me to say so.

  11. Akanksha, my friend of 8 years...

I'm glad that there's a chapter in my life's book which I've titled as 'My life with Akanksha'..
Life with Akanksha in a nutshell was a very enriching experience! We've seen it all.. the jokes, the laughter, life's philosophies, destiny's hand, sorrows, failures, fights, falling down and then getting up and gearing up for a new challenge that life throws our way, the giggles and the tears, the stress and the fears, the I-told-you-so moments, our looooooooong conversations on the phone, her 2-page long doubts after reading 5 lines of text, the spontaneous plans and outings we've made, free parties from Aloka-the topper! We've indeed seen it all and all of it together.. We've weathered the bad times and enjoyed the good times together. In short, whatever we did, we did it as a team. You were like my shadow, probably a twin sister..
Although, we've had our ups and downs, but ultimately it was this very bond of friendship which was above everything and hence no low was too deep to affect this strong bond that I share with you.

After having written such nice things about "us", I'd like to take you down the memory lane and remind you that this special bond started on a not-so-special note. Infact, I'd like to forget about the day I met Akanksha.. :D Long story.. But now that we recall it, it was hilarious. But after some time, Akanksha and I hit it off like a house on fire. By then, Akanksha and I had gotten used to each other. Strangely enough, "we" laughed at her jokes like maniacs back then. Don't ask me how that happened, but it did!

Akanksha used to be her gregarious self, and I being the patient listener that I was back then were a perfect match! Akanksha needed someone who'd listen to what she has to say and I needed someone who would fill in my lack of conversation skills. 11th and 12th passed by in a haze and I can't recall much about it except for our infamous giggling that became our(moreso Akanksha's) second identity in our coaching centre, Competition Zone! Then, the disaster called AIEEE happened and somehow our destiny again crossed our paths at DCET first and then eventually UIET.

UIET opened a new chapter in our lives. We made new friends here, cried for marks, partied for 20/20 in a sessional, made our infamous spontaneous plans, fought for the best seat, hungout in FR(codeword!) .. all of it done TOGETHER!

Our fights were compared with 'typical husband-wife fights' time and again and although we were annoyed with the person making such a comment, I'm ashamed to confess but they(our arguments) really sounded like one. But the best thing about Akanksha is that she'll take the first step to cool things off by breaking off the silence with a random comment and I'll join in because none of us could bear the silence for long.

After 2nd year, we kinda matured mentally and emotionally, but physically we still look like school-going children and are still pestered by annoying uncles and aunties asking us which class we study in!! So anyway, after 2nd year we became more respectful for each other and our fight-rate dropped to a very low frequency.

3rd and 4th year has been full of sweet , fun-filled memories, well.. mostly!

The funniest thing about Akanksha is her jazbaati thodi/ quivering chin. Basically, it's used to depict the earthquake-like activities that happen on Akanksha's chin when she's trying to supress her laughter!

So, I remember the day when I got a small cut on my finger and blood was oozing out from it, ok Avneet, half a drop of blood that was deliberately squeezed out to show you the cruelty life is showing towards me..
Anyway, so Akanksha and I were in a mood to wrestle that day and our match was named as 'Jazbaati Thodi vs Khoon se Sani Ungli' by our other gang members and these new names have become our second identity since then!

    Continued..

  12. ...Continued...
There are a lotta things that can be mentioned about our life together but I think I might leave all of that for my autobiography that I might write someday.

    Some quick points about Akanksha-

    1. Very fragile, there is no part on her body that does not feel ticklish.

    2. If laughter is the best medicine, Akanksha should've been a world-renowned doctor by now.

    3. Agony aunt, wants to help people out even if it means deciding which seat they should sit on! (used to happen in 1st yr, has changed a lot since then and for the better!)

    4. Phone ki pujaran!! Her phone keeps her busy round the clock! A lot of people miss her when she's at home. So that really says something about her! :)

    5. Loves paneer, could probably commit suicide if paneer would've been a non-renewable commodity.

    6. Yes, like Arushi, Avneet and me, she too can kill for oregano seasoning.

    7. Has to talk 24x7. Also talks in her sleep and thinks that it is a very normal thing to do!

    8. Can never go on a maun-vrath for more than 5 minutes.

    9. Laughs at her own jokes, it's an art and requires talent to laugh at your own jokes irrespective of the expression of I'll-kill-myself-for-having-heard-that on the other person's face!!

    10. Adventurous and likes to take on a path less treaded! Even if it means reaching Khuda Ali Sher instead of Sukhna lake..

    11. Hyper-active and talkative, but that also makes her the life of our gang. Without her, life would be.... "very normal"! She brings the fun to our otherwise dull, normal life.

    12. What's really funny about Akanksha is that she cannot talk without her hands! She might not be able to form a proper sentence if her hands are tied down.

Her pjs are very famous! I'd say the secret behind her hall-of-fame kinda pjs is her 'never say die' spirit. She is very passionate about her pjs and her face lights up and there is a glow in her eyes whenever she drops her pj bomb on someone!

Arushi, her partner in crime, has been the biggest source of inspiration for her to crack out-of-the-world pjs(literally!) which are as bad as they can get!! Avneet and I are usually the ones at the receiving end of it all! God knows how many years of our respective lives have they(Akanksha and Arushi) taken away from us with their deadly pjs.

But there's more to Akanksha than just being a bubbly, talkative, cheerful and a fun company! She's very sensible, mature, intelligent, sweet and caring. She's a great judge of character. She's also really bold at times and has the guts to fight for what is right!

She's a loving girl and balances my practicality with her emotional side. She is very pure-hearted and thinks and cares about everybody, even though at the end of it she doesn't get her credit and at times it backfires at her. As Avneet mentioned that you can't make everybody happy or please everybody because that is just impossible!

I pity Akanksha who has been at the receiving end of my kutta-billi songs, my high state in life,my equally bad pjs.. Sorry Akanksha and thanks for bearing with me!

Finally, I'd like to say that I don't know where we're headed in life and if we'll ever meet again, but one thing's for sure... You've got yourself a friend for a lifetime in me! The need for a friend forever in each other is mutual. Life's gonna be scary without you. I've always been dependent on you and we've always done everything together, to venture out alone is freaking me out. I'll be leaving behind a friend who's not worth being traded for all the riches in the world and that coming from Gurubehen definitely means a lot! :D:p

You've been my best mate and you'll always be remembered as my best mate for all my life!!

Thanks for being there and for everything.
All the very best in life!
May you swim in a pool full of money!! :D
Take care and do stay in touch! :)
    I'll miss you gal..
